Root causes of biodiversity loss

The webinar will help us understand the structural causes behind the environmental crisis we are living and the challenges and possibilities in relation to the CBD that include: Corporate Capture of biodiversity related policies; Greenwashing: and false solutions; Perverse Incentives impacting biodiversity and the need for a change in our current economic system and development model.

The world is facing an unprecedented destruction of our nature with undeniable negative consequences on all living beings including us humans. The Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD) attempts to adopt measures to address this crisis, but has failed because world leaders still refuse to focus on the root causes of the biodiversity collapse we are facing.
